Best-known events
One event per wingAll already held
Dev Stakes
Four days to build one complete project as a team. Teams take a given problem or pitch their own. Judges look at clean code, performance and whether the project is deployed at the end.
Web wing CP5events heldDream In Code
A global contest on Codeforces, open to everyone from first-years to experienced competitors. The wing sets the problems and people from around the world solve them.
CP wing FOSS3events heldRiceFest
Customise your own system, on Linux, macOS or Windows, into something unique that is still easy to use. Judges look at the whole setup, not just a screenshot: looks, usability, accessibility and performance.
FOSS wing ML4events heldOverengineered
Build a full AI app, not just a notebook: train a model, then put it inside working software. Each team has exactly one ML specialist and recruits the rest from the blockchain or web tracks. Topics range from deep learning to GenAI, multimodal and NLP. Copied repositories were disqualified.
ML wing App6hoursCamazotz
Six hours in two halves. For the first three, teams build the worst interface they can that still works: poor contrast, hidden buttons, confusing navigation. Then teams swap projects and spend three hours fixing another team's work without rebuilding it.
App wing Infosec24hoursIncognito 7.0 CTF
The wing's biggest event: a twenty-four-hour jeopardy CTF covering web exploitation, cryptography, forensics, reverse engineering, pwn and OSINT. Teams have up to five people. Beginners and experienced players compete on the same scoreboard.
Infosec wing Web324–30hoursHackOFiesta
The wing's main hackathon: a day and a night, in teams of up to four. There are two tracks: blockchain, for decentralised apps and smart contracts, and ML, for data-driven apps. It is open to first-years, and for most of them it is the first thing they build against a deadline.
Web3 wing Design3daysDesign-a-thon
Three problem statements are revealed when the clock starts. Each team of up to three picks two and has three days to finish a design for both. Judges look at creativity, design quality, fit to the problem and whether the design is clear without explanation.
